Services

  • In therapy, I will help you to deepen self-awareness and understand how particular coping mechanisms and trauma responses emerged and even helped to keep you safe. We will practice effective ways of coping with intense emotions and triggers so that you feel more grounded and present in your life. I’ll support you in creating boundaries that shape respectful and supportive relationships, and limit exposure to relationships that are draining and harmful. Together, we will practice assertive communication skills, equipping you to more skillfully express your emotions and needs.

I support clients to define their own concept of healthy relationships, which includes relationships to family of origin, partners, friends/chosen family, and most importantly–the relationship you have with yourself. When you’ve spent years making yourself small, it can be scary to find your voice, to own what you want and need. To begin to take up more space, and be your full, messy (human!), beautiful, authentic self. But deeply empowering too. I am here to support you in creating a full and meaningful life that honors your healing and makes space for joy and connection.

Fee for individual therapy is $200 per session. Sliding scale spots are available.

  • I facilitate support groups for people recovering from unhealthy and abusive relationships. Groups offer a safe and supportive space to process one's experience, connect with other participants, and more deeply understand the patterns and roots of dysfunction in relationships. I will provide education about interpersonal, intergenerational, and systemic trauma. Participants are invited to offer support and insight to one another, building a healing community.

It can be powerful to hear one's experience reflected by another person. To know you're not alone in what you've been through. And that you're not alone in your healing process. We practice effective coping tools for managing intense emotions and trauma triggers. I support participants to define healthy relationships for themselves. We practice skills to bring those healthier relationships to life.

Fee for support groups is $70 per session. Sliding scale spots available.

  • Many Queer and Gender-expansive folks grow up having to hide who they are, making themselves smaller in order to stay safer, and may experience rejection or harm when attempting to fully embrace their authentic selves. Finally, you can access support where you no longer have to play an edited version of yourself.

I provide gender affirming therapy to adults who are seeking to explore their gender identity and expression. In a nonjudgmental and affirming space, you can feel empowered to more fully embody your lived gender. This is a chance to envision going through life with the name, pronouns, outward style, ways of relating to others and yourself that feels just like...you!

I also support folks who are considering medical aspects of gender transition, such as hormones, hair removal, and gender affirming surgeries. Together, we can talk through how these options may or may not meet your goals around gender identity, and explore risks and benefits. I also work with clients to prepare for surgery and for post-operative recovery, considering the various needs for support that can arise in this journey.

I can provide WPATH assessments and letters to facilitate access to gender affirming surgeries. This can be a stand-alone service, or part of the therapy process.

Individual therapy is $200 per session. WPATH letters for surgery are $200 per hour and may require more than one session to complete. Sliding scale spots are available.

Fees

PAYMENT POLICIES

My fee is $200 for 50-55 minute individual sessions (pro-rated for longer sessions). I prefer to accept payment via IvyPay, a secure payment service designed for therapists, at the time of service. I also reserve a portion of my practice for sliding scale fees.

INSURANCE

I am in-network with Optum/United Behavioral Health at this time, and will accept other plans soon. For clients with out-of-network insurance coverage, I can provide you with a monthly billing statement (or “superbill”) to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Payment is still due at the time of service. Here are some helpful questions to ask your insurance company to ensure they cover out-of-network therapy services.

Good Faith Estimate

Healthcare providers, including psychotherapists, are required to provide a Good Faith Estimate for services that are not covered by insurance. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your mental health care will cost. You can ask me, or any other provider, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For more information, go to https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises

Your privacy is important to me.
